POSTAGE AND DELIVERY
MAhout Lifestyle Ltd products can be delivered anywhere. Full payment must be made at the time of purchase and prior to delivery. Goods will be with you within 5 working days (unless notified otherwise or industrial action dictates). Orders will be dispatched Standard Royal Mail or Parcel Force which, unfortunately, does not allow us to advise you delivery dates or times. No signature is required. Heavier / larger goods will be dispatched by courier / van (see below). This will most likely be by Interlink which does allow us to inform you and you will be informed. A signature is required. It is your responsibility to check that all aspects of your order are suitable and correct. Should you require postal insurance for your goods, this will incur an additional charge. Please enquire for prices of such. If posting to certain areas in the British Isles (Channel Islands, Scottish Isles and Highlands, Northern Ireland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man) goods may incur an additional charge and items can take up to longer to deliver.

Goods can be delivered overseas providing you arrange your own delivery. Please ask your delivery company to contact us to arrange pick-up etc.
Please note that if you are resident overseas or a resident of the Channel Islands and are exporting items to an overseas address, UK retailers are not legally obliged to refund VAT to you. Due to an impossibly high level of administration involved in doing so, MAhout Lifestyle Ltd does not refund VAT on such purchases.
Heavy / large goods courier delivery:
Such goods will be delivered by our chosen courier and we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates or timings but goods should be with you within 5 working days. Should you not be at home to take delivery of your goods, you will receive a card notification. Please contact the delivery company to arrange free re-delivery of your goods or pick up at the nearest depot.
Should your order not be delivered, please contact us immediately.
On delivery, all goods must be signed for. By signing the delivery note, you are confirming that you have taken delivery of the goods in perfect condition, with no fault or damage. At that time the goods become your responsibility. However, should you have purchased items from the ‘clearance’ which have been sold as ‘damaged’ or ‘imperfect’, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer to acknowledge that you have bought the imperfect item knowingly.
Collection from our premises:
Should you choose to collect an item from our showroom in Battersea, you / your courier will be asked to sign a collection note, at which time the product becomes your responsibility and MAhout Lifestyle Ltd is not responsible for any possible future damage.
In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged item, please contact us immediately to arrange a replacement and please return the faulty item in its original packaging. Should you not call within 7 days of delivery, refunds cannot be made. Subsequent to notifying us, damaged items must be received within 28 days of delivery or no refund can be made.
Please be aware, however, that our wooden items are handmade and are designed not to have a perfect finish, to ensure a rustic look. Please do not confuse a small dent or harmless seam in the wood with damage as this is unlikely to be the case but is a part of the product’s overall finish.
If you are, for some reason, not satisfied with your purchase, please inform us that you intend to return the goods, such within 7 days of delivery, either by telephone or by e-mail (0845 1166333 / firstname.lastname@example.org). In such cases you are entitled to a refund or replacement on condition that the returned goods reach us within 28 days of delivery. Replacement , if requested will only be dispatched on receipt of the original item.
On all returns or exchanges, please complete a ‘returns form’ (found on the back of the invoice) and ensure that the products are unused, unwashed, new and that they are in their original packaging and with seals unbroken. Please also be sure to pack and label the goods carefully, securely (especially fragile items) and clearly so that they are not damaged or lost en route as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to the goods en route to us. If returning goods by post, it is advisable to obtain proof of postage / delivery in case it is lost in transit. Postage costs wlil not be refunded and are your responsibility.
The purchased goods remain your responsibility until they arrive on our premises and it is your responsibility to cover the cost of returning them.
MAhout Lifestyle Ltd will not refund should an item be returned after 28 days of delivery; should an item be returned without a completed returns form or in its original packaging; should you not have called to report the damaged item within 7 days of delivery; should an item have been used and / or damaged in any way. Agreed replacements or returns can only be sent to a mainland UK address.
Refunds will be made to the card used to place the order within 10 working days of receipt of the returned goods. Should you have bought a discounted item, the discounted cost only will be refunded to you.

Purchases, product and pricing information
All products include VAT at 20% but exclude postage or delivery charges.
When you complete your purchase by ‘checking-out’ you are accepting and purchasing the goods at the prices indicated, including any delivery charges that apply.
Prices are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to alter prices up or down at any given time and without notification.
All purchases made by telephone or via the website are subject to these terms & conditions and are subject to stock availability at the time of ordering. In the unlikely event that an item is not in stock, you will be informed immediately.
Your order will be accepted once your payment details have been submitted and approved. You will be notified of this acceptance which is sent to you automatically. Due to this automation, should an error occur of which we are not aware, we retain the right to cancel the order.
All of our products are made in India and from natural materials. We have quality control checks in place throughout the manufacturing stages and on their arrival in the UK. However, the wooden items in our range will all vary marginally in shape, finish, sometimes colour and size, due to being hand made. The rustic effect of our wooden products, particularly the limed products is intentional. Due to the different grain in our wooden products, they are all slightly differentand may have a specific craftman’s mark on them. We do our best to avoid any variations, but they do arise on occasion due to the different skills and methods used by the craftsmen making the goods.
Due to the handmade nature of the items, exact replicas cannot be guaranteed should you wish to duplicate an item later on. Due to difficulties in repeating exact dye colour, block prints or screen prints, it may not be possible to exactly repeat a dhurrie or quilt. If you feel you will want to purchase another at a later date, we would advise purchasing your full requirement at the same time to ensure like for like compatibility of the goods.
We make the utmost effort to ensure colours are accurate but, due to different screen resolutions and photographic processes, the colours of products viewed online may vary slightly from the actual colour. We cannot accept any responsibility for these possible small variations in colour, texture, print, fabric and size.
We reserve the right to remove from the website and discontinue a product at any given time.
Once an item leaves mainland UK, these terms and conditions no longer apply to it.
Measurements and sizes
Our measurements are metric, in centimetres. Sizes of all products are clearly given. Our dhurrie and bedspread measurements are given width by length. Due to some of our bedspreads being heavily stitched and handmade, each will vary by a few centimetres in width and length. Accurate measurements of a particular bedspread can be given on request at the time of purchase.

Payment can be made on line by debit or credit card (Visa & Mastercard only) which is secured via Sagepay. Payment can also be made by MAhout Lifestyle gift vouchers which are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase and they cover all items in our shop.Privacy and protection policy

However, we are required by law to inform you that we shall record your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and any bank details, in order to process your order. This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998. Your details will be held securely on our database and will not be given out to any 3rd party. They will be used only to enhance our services to you, should you have any follow up queries and so that you may receive notification of any special offers that we may have at any time, should you have asked to be informed of such. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales and any and all disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
